2011 Cayenne...Reverse Camera...Retrofit / Tequipment
I saw a sneak peak of the catalog, I didn't see a camera listed. I'm guessing it would be too complex to make it a retrofit. If I find more info, I'll let you know.

Backup camera for Panamera and cayenne
Think I broke some rules before so I am gonna try to keep this one simple.
I had a Panamera 4S I got last February. Loved every thing about it but no backup camera. Very frustrating. Hard, if not impossible to get used too after having them in other vehicles. I eventually got a retrofit kit in June and made all the difference. Ironically I traded it for a Cayenne in December. That car came with camera installed from the factory. I dont know why Porsche would even hesitate to put a car on the market factory spec without such an important safety option that is becoming so commonplace and standard in todays market?
Anyone who is curious about what it took to install one let me know and Ill try to give you as much detail. Took some time, patience but it was not rocket science.

Yes, there is a company that makes a system that allows you to hook up the factory camera to the 3.1 system. I believe it $800 for the camera and another $700 for the integration unit. New to forum and do want to break rules so I'm not posting any non-sponsor names at this time. I will be adding it to my CS in the near future.

I just joined the forum and I dont want to break any rules so I guess I cant mention the manufacture. It is aftermarket by a highly reputable company. The interface is seemless and basicly activates the factory feature and provides video inputs. There is a youtube video on the whole install which depicts it very well. The only thing it omits is the part about fishing the camera wire and power through the lift gate. That iis not very difficult but you do have to take your time. I did the whole thing myself. It took me about 3 hours of calm careful work. Am I able to provide a link to external videos or is that not allowed? I saved the camera and module when I sold the car. Yes removal goes very fast compared to install. I figured it was the type of piece a fellow enthusiast would want and I was not too keen on giving it away when I traded the car. I want to pass it on to someone for a very reasonable amount. I have pics and stuff of it. Can I post those?
