H&R Springs Install

Any of you done this on the 958 w/o air suspension yet? Even better, anyone done it by themselves?

Im considering throwing these on my car for a lowered look and if I do, Im planning on doing it myself. Wondering if there's any sort of instructions/DIY for this. Thanks!

I lowered my CS with the H&R kit. I had my dealership do the job, it was around $1000 for the spring swap and alignment. I had called shops that Tirerack recommended and other indys and got quotes from $800 to $1500, although I am pretty good with a wrench, I don't have a lift and this was more than I wanted to tackle.

I have PASM and they needed a special tool from Porsche to remove the PASM shocks without damaging them.

Overall I'm really pleased with the ride and look of the car!

I love working on cars, and since mine doesnt have PASM, I guess Ill give it a try myself.

Would you mind posting a before and after picture with the springs installed? Is it a noticeable drop? What size wheels do you have?

Thanks again!

The spring kit says it lowers 1.2", I think it is closer to 1.75-2". I have the 20" Spyder wheels.

Also, as an added question, do you think these springs will have an impact on the life expectancy of the OEM shocks?

I was told that it probably wouldn't effect the lifespan of the PASM shocks by the service advisor, he thought it would have minimal impact. I imagine it would have even less impact on the normal suspension.
