Anyone with a 2011 on this board have the Fabspeed exhaust installed? Just wanted to get some real world experience....how's the sound inside and outside of the cabin? Getting ready to bring my car to Fabspeed next month...can't wait!

 

it sounds phenomenal (and i am not biased at all ) we have done quite a few in house, did you check out the videos on our website?

i did. Just wanted to hear some real world opinions. THe videos sound great! Any issues with droning at any rpm's? I know there was an issue on the Panamera's which you've recently corrected. What'd you change, by the way?

 

the 2011 CTT is actually pretty "quiet" for an exhausted car. there is ZERO drone with the mufflers at any RPM and sounds unreal under heavy load.

On the PTT we changed the mufflers to single inlet single outlet and it eliminated the drone completely. The drone on the pannys only happened when you were not in sport mode which was odd, but the new muffler design corrected that and now it sounds amazing

Thanks. I actually have a 958 V6. I've been working with Alex and you guys are going to use my car to build the V6 version next month. Can't wait! Hope the V6 sounds as good at the Turbo and S Cayennes.

Yes the exhaust is muted,but there is a very pleasant and unmistakable rumble when you start it that puts a smile on my face every time...it would be interesting to open up a bit though...

I didn't seem to find anything on Fabspeed's site about V6 intakes for the 958...Any coming?

I have it installed and it's great! Nice deep sound from the engine. Bring the v8 alive!

 

I was checking out the vid on the Cayenne S install, and I noticed that while it sounded nice, there was definitely some rattling going on, even my Wife noticed it as I was showing her the video.

Is this an issue with these systems or was that setup just not tightened down for the demo?

 

Hey Vince, yea we did a video right when the exhaust was installed before doing our checkup for leaks and noises, so that's why you are hearing that. There are no rattles or noise issues with the system ever. You always want to check everything after its installed and go back and check all the hardware a few days later too which helps eliminate any chances of leaks or hardware coming loose.
