you have to disassemble the whole mirror housing. I chickened out at the first step "pry out the mirror".

Exactly the pic I needed! How did you pry off the housing? Or did you take off the mirror first?

You need to pull off the mirror first, it helps if you adjust the mirror so the outer edge hangs out and you can pry it out. Next is to remove the body color housing, you need to release some clips from inside of the housing, but you need to remove the mirror motor in order to get to the clips. Because the bulb is horizontal, you want to get a LED with bulbs on the side otherwise it won't be bright enough, also the LED cannot be too long or it won't fit the bulb housing. Hope this helps.

This instruction is for the Touareg. It has the same side mirrors as the cayenne.

2 screws and two tabs inside towards the top release this part

Once you get this part off you must remove more screws and then take the top (silver) part off then the lower black part.

I have the LED upgrade in my CTT but noticed the footwell lights are not LED. I pulled the one under the driver but could not open the "case" the light was in and didn't want to force/break it. Anyone have advice on how they got it open/replaced?

How are the rear seat footwell lights??

the red part clips into the clear part. you just pop it out. just have to press the right spot.

The footwell is a box like plastic piece that pops out and unplugs. I could not separate the box and lens to access the bulb...

I remember for the footwell light I had to pry hard around the outter casing. I managed to changed all four of them to LED.

Can anyone list the bulb types for the full interior so I can upgrade my 2010 958 CTT when I get it on Monday please?

My 2011 CD has the comfort light pack which has many of these lights in LED already so I want the Turbo to be white light too?

Thanks

Carl
