Just bought my 11 CS. Dealer had just done the 10k (lucky me) and after I left the lot the Finance guy called w an offer for the 20K and 30K service at $200 bones. I knew they would otherwise rape me but this sounded OK so bought it. Year-end deal I think. Had already called my local upscale Firestone who assured me that their 3 ASE certified mechanics would do a bang up job whenever i was ready. My 2 cents.

It's fairly simple math. Probably takes an hour for the tech to do it. Average is $150/hr. Oil is around $90. Filter $30. So their cost is at least $250. 20% markup = $300

Sounds normal. That's why I try to avoid the stealer as much as possible. I paid buck fifty for my first oil change at an exotic car repair shop.

You sure they didn't use Costco oil?

The synthetic oil alone should be more than that.

Lol. Good point though. I'll have to ask to be sure for next change.

Is there a way to reset the light without dealer help? My Benz has a button to push on the dash with the key in a certain position... It's a hassle to DIY and then also have to go to the dealer to turn off the light.
