Thumbs up Carbon Fibre retrofit from Suncoast - *images*

Suncoast ordered in the complete Porsche Carbon Fibre trim for my Cayenne as a special order for a RHD model. Delivery was about 6 weeks from time of order. Enjoy the pics:

Taking all of the gear over to the workshop:

Here's the nicest part of the interior - carbon fibre heated steering wheel:

Original drivers side door trim:

Drivers door with the carbon trim and door handle:

Installing the carbon door trim in the rear:

Rear door finished with carbon trim and door handle:

Installing the carbon trim around the slot for the key (this is the main difference to the LHD version - i.e. reversed):

Original trim above the glove compartment:

Removing the original trim:

New trim installed:

Dash trim between steering wheel and PCM - (Tekonsha P3 brake controller visible below the dash as well):

Removing the centre console to install the carbon surround around the gear lever and also the carbon grab handles, this was a big job:

Carbon surround and gear lever installed:

The finished product:

Big job, but well worth it in the end. It looks and feels 200% better !!

Nice touch.
Mine is also RHD too.
Is your car a turbo or just turbo look converted?
Can you find a factory look dead pedal?

Wow, that's impressive! Taking apart the trim panels on a car as complex as this, I'm sure it was a lot of work Looks awesome, the CF is tight.

I have a 2012 spec Cayenne Diesel. I changed the front bumper, lights and hood over to the turbo versions as I prefer this look to the stock version. I think you can source the dead pedal through Suncoast.

Thanks, the effort in doing this was well worth it.

Can I ask you a question?

You have dumped a lot of money into your Diesel(bodykit/trim/brakes), especially considering that all your parts are coming from the US, so you add shipping and import taxes.

Why didn't you just order it with all that stuff from the factory?

There was a 9 - 10 month lead time to get a custom Cayenne diesel. This one became available from a dealer so I picked it up rather than wait nearly a year to get one.

A lot of the gear that I have installed you can't buy from the factory on a diesel and I would have had to modify it here anyway

The arm grabs on the doors are very quick to change, lift the arm rest off and unbolt them. The grab handles in the centre console are a bit harder to get to and require removing (or at least raising) the centre console completely.

The rear of the grab handle that is nearest the switches for the suspension etc is bolted on from inside the console hence the need to raise it so you can get the socket onto the bolt.

Hey Slip,

Because of constantly reading your posts/seeing your beautiful Cayenne I bit-the-bullet yesterday and ordered the same brembo brakes front and rear that you're running. I have to stop reading your posts as they're making me go broke!

Fantastic !!! You'll love the brakes, they made a big difference to the stopping power of the car. The level of feel through the brakes compared with the stock items is significantly improved.

Thumbs up

I love the look of the Carbon too, and i might be tempted to do the same upgrade as you.
Tell me though, did the kit come from Suncoast with some kind of fitting instructions or did you 'wing-it'? I'm always wary of damaging things by randomly pulling trim off the interior....!

The centre grab-handle and around the gear lever install looks the hardest

Cheers,
Adam

Hi,

I was wondering how you installed the center trim.

Did you remove the PCM?

The pictures are gone now, I just need some pointers.

Thanks
