New Model Year changes

Tonight I went into the Porsche USA website and loaded the configuration of the car I'm planning to pick up in about one month. The website asked if I wanted to convert this configuration to the New Model configuration. I said yes and it immediately asked me to remove two options: 17mm spacers for rear wheels and exterior color wheel extensions if I want the 20" Spyder wheel. I said yes because it wouldn't allow me to continue. I then noticed there is another 20" Spyder wheel that is 9.5" width which allows the new 5mm spacers on all wheels and allows the exterior colored wheel extensions. I also noticed there is a WLAN option now and LED additional comfort lighting.

I'm curious about the 20" Spyder wheel differences. Can anyone elaborate? I'm hoping to get the changes made and WLAN option and LED extended comfort lighting added but it's only one month to go before I pickup.

Also noticed there are options for Four-tube Sports Tailpipes and Wireless Internet.
Were these always there or were they recently added?

The four tube was there (rectangular ones) but Wireless Internet (WLAN) is new. Would sure be nice to know all the changes in one document.

may sound good but I believe you need the telephone module that accepts a normal sized GSM SIM which means you need a GSM provider (AT&T or Sprint in US) and pay for phone and internet. Reception should be really good however with car-sized antenna.

One can always turn on Wifi Hotspot on any Android device and piggyback existing data plan. However, reception will most likely be worse than car antenna. Wonder if it is integrated into PCM screen somehow.

My otherwise plan would be a MIFI device. I wonder if RSAP to the car from an Android phone in hotspot mode could utilize the car antenna. There are so many questions and possibilities. Browser on the PCM, streaming video from a GoPro, etc.

Turns out the new model year means 2013 and the price went up over $1K base.

It's not a lot, imagine with labor and gas prices, it could be a lot worse ...!
