The low rumble/vibration in V6 is gone

Just picked up our second V6 yesterday. One thing I noticed immediately was the engine vibration at 2K RPM / 8th gear is no longer there. Our last one was very obvious while I was driving off the dealers lot, and got a little better after broken in. But this one was smooth on day one. So if you are experiencing the same vibration I did, definitely bring it up to the dealer and see what they can do.

Also noticed the PCM was a little different, probably newer software. And the rear badge are chrome instead of satin silver.

Now I have to drive at snail speeds for another 2K miles to break it in...arg!

Congratulations on the replacement Cayenne, steph280.

Here's to many miles of safe and spirited driving with your new baby. Let's get some pics soon!

Break in?What's that?
Ok,its a turbo, but I drove mine like I stole it from the start(I was in Germany after all)
Drove it real hard for the first 3000 miles(always giving time for the engine to warm up of course)
I now have driven 7500 miles, and it has always performed flawlessly
Sooo,to make a short story long....enjoy it NOW

Thanks Khabah.

I noticed the PCM boots up with different porsche logo and cayenne silhouette than before. The dash display also has a little logo which I thought was the cruise control, but not sure. Need to read the manual but who does?
