Great alternative to weathertech mats
Great alternative to weathertech mats
Hi all,
I was searching for some mats for my brand new 2012 Cayenne and I was able to find some great product online. Since I live in eastern Canada, I do need some good mats in order to prevent salt, water and slush to reach the original carpet of the vehicule.
Of course we all know the weathertech mats but I was a little bit sceptical of these since the dead pedal was not completely covered.
There is another canadian based company which sell waterproof mats for the Cayenne and are a perfect fit. I am in no way related to them except for the fact that I just ordered one set from them.
You can find them at findway.ca
They were 110$ shipped which is a big plus compared to the price of the weathertech ones. they are black and they do fit perfectly with the black interior of my Cayenne. They have the same feeling of my original Porsche mats and are not rubbery. Luxury feeling. They cover completely the dead pedal. They are made in China. You can contact the owner Eugene Wei directly.
Have a good day

Mats look interesting on the website. Which ones to you purchase that worked so well in you Cayenne? Would you be good enough to post some pictures with the mats installed in your truck so we can see the fit. Thanks
Those look good, but wouldn't work for my color combo. The weathertech ones go up about 4 inches on the right side to the right of the gas pedal where my shoes would hit the cream carpet of not for the weathertech mats.
The ones one findway.ca only really have a lip that acts as the perimeter, maybe only 1 inch lip.
My weathertechs work perfectly during winter. I'm about to put in my normal carpet ones for summer.
Good luck!

The pictures on the finway.ca website are not the best quality. I would also be interested to see how it fits.
I will try to take pictures today
It is important for winter mats to cover the carpet underneath the gas pedal. I wonder if those really cover it. Original Porsche winter mats that I have don't. I was planning to get WeatherTech ones for winter, just don't like to have their logo on the mat.

I like what the owner of Weathertech stands for. His name is David MacNeil and he has the right focus for a company leader (see the ads that are run in MotorTrend, Car and Driver and Road and Track). He is a big supporter of using local supplies and manufacturers (US and Canada) instead of saving a few pennies or dollars on low cost sourced regions that are part of why our lazy business leaders focus on the wrong problems to make their companies stronger and supportive of local resources. I wouldn't "buy American" for the sake of a saying but support a company they says and does the right things and doesn't stand behind union rhetoric of the saying.

I have the WeatherTech mats and really like them, but would prefer a set that covers the dead pedal fully.
On the plus side - the rear mat covers the hump well.

i will try to take some this week
6 months later, I am very happy about those mats. I also use regular rubber mats which i have installed inside the other mats. So whenever i want to clean the inside of the car, i just removed the rubber mats and shake them a little bit, then vaccum the other mats. And that's it. The original carpet of the car has not a single stain.
There is also a middle piece for the rear seats which i don't use for what it was meant for. I have attached that piece against the central column, drivers side, with velcro. It will help protect the original carpet from salt on my boots this winter.
Cheers

I have Weathertechs in my diesel Cayenne (front and rear seats and cargo compartment). I've been using Weathertech floor liners in my cars for years; I even have a pair in my 911.
I'll take some pics of mine as well sometime over the next couple days. To me they're worth the price of admission.

I just bought weathertech liners. Porsche's rubber ones didn't provide decent coverage. The weathertech as stated above doesn't cover the dead pedal fully. There is also a hump near the passenger's left foot that lacks coverage in my opinion. The rear pass area mats are great. But that said they cover quite well, even though a little pricey. Here are some pics.

I have two sons, (8 and 10) and two Golden Retrievers. The first upgrade I made to my '12 CS was a full set of WeatherTech Mats: front, back and cargo. The interior looks a bit more utilitarian but it's easier to clean and the carpet underneath looks brand new! Absolutely worth the money!
