Finally some pictures...

Hey Guys,

I have had the cayene for almost a year and never got around to posting any pics.

The only mods I've done have been the EVOMS ECU upgrade, Fabspeed bypass pipes, tinted windows and just recently the Porsche Aerokit for the CTT. Of all the mods, the Aerokit is by far my favorite. It transforms the Cayenne from a really nice looking SUV to an absolutely mean looking beast. I wish the Cayenne had come like this from the factory.

Anyway, here are a few pics...

How do you like the Evoms upgrade and the bypass pipes? That is what I believe I most want to do to my 2012 Cayenne Turbo.

The EVOMS upgrade is definitely a "must have" in my opinion. The seat of the pants feeling is about the same in the lower RPM range, but definitely shines up top. In stock form the car seemed to run out of steam as it approached redline and even above 4,000 RPMs, but with the EVOMS tuning it really pulls hard right to redline.

The bypass pipes definitely give the vehicle a little more snarl, but not at all in an annoying way. It feels like the car is able to breathe a little better as well, so that's definitely another plus.

IMO, both are great mods.

Thanks!

Yes, if you want to give the vehicle a nice cosmetic upgrade, the Porsche Aerokit is a nice subtle way to do so. It's just the right amount of flare without going overboard.

This is one of the best looking CT I've seen. Great job!

So the aero kit are pieces you can attach to existing body, or does stock pieces have to come off?

Is the aero kit something that can be installed by yourself or does it have to be professionally installed?

Thanks!

I was not at the dealership when the pieces were installed, but just looking at the parts there were definitely some of the stock pieces that were removed. In fact, the only stock pieces that might have stayed were the trim pieces around the wheel wells. Otherwise, I think the stock black plastic pieces were switched out for the painted aerokit pieces.

I would have it professionally installed unless you're pretty familiar with this sort of thing. There were at least 21 pieces that needed to be painted and installed, and that was for a car with OEM running boards. If your car doesn't have running boards, there are rocker panels that will need to be painted and installed as well.

Thanks for your feedback. Just one questions.

Any noticeable "smell" compared to stock after the cats removal ?

Adam, how do you like the running boards? I have them on my GL, but not on my CS. I have AS and usually leave it in the lowest (driving) position so I probably don't need the running boards, but wanted to get your take. Do they help getting in or get in the way if you don't use them and have to step over them?

I have not noticed any difference in the smell from the exhaust. The CTTs actually have 4 cats, and the bypass pipes eliminate 2 of those, so you still have 2 cats in place to deal with most of the emissions.

To be perfectly honest, I don't like them at all. The Cayenne doesn't sit up high enough to require running boards. For me they are in the way more than anything, and make it harder to enter/exit the vehicle. This Cayenne was a dealer spec vehicle, and unfortunately was outfitted with the running boards. If I were to special order another Cayenne I would definitely leave the running boards off. Now that's not to say that some folks may love their running boards, but I'm not a fan.

What % window tint do you have? What brand of the film was used? It looks nice, fronts match the backs. Do you have insulated glass?
