Just noticed the other day, after over a year with the car , that the front passenger seat doesn't chime if the seatbelt is not worn. i always thought this was a mandatory safety thing on all vehicles. Do you guys have the seat belt chime/notification if your front passenger is not wearing his/her seatbelt?

Bringing my car in for service soon so wondering if there is a problem or not. Thanks everyone!

 

I have never had a passenger without his/her belt,so I would not know
Only times I drive it without is inside my country club,and the chime goes away after a couple minutes

 

Noticed this the 1st week of ownership.
After years of BMW crime chimes it is Such a relief.
Comes in handy on those 3 minute round the block drives.
Makes me feel good about owning a Porsche.

thanks guys. Called my service dept and they said that there's no passenger chime. If anyone experiences otherwise, let me know.

 

I double checked mine this morning. Wife got in the passenger seat, she always forgets to buckle up straight away and within a second or two of driving away both me and the car were chiming away reminding her. Maybe it's just a UK or EU thing but both my front seats chime 100%.
