2012 Cayenne Liftgate issue

My lift gate opens properly when I use the remote but when i push the release button on driver armrest it only unlatches and doesn't open properly. has anyone seen this? Is it a setting or malfunction?

+1. It's a pain but you do need to hold it the whole way up. And don't even think about using the button to lower it. Those features are only available on luxury cars like Honda, chrysler and Kia

accidentally push that button in the garage and you'll be glad it only unlatches (assuming your ceiling height is like mine)

QuickOne is infamous around these parts
Pushing the button on my 2013 GTS opens it up all the way. I find it quite convenient when picking someone up and they need to quickly throw something in the back.

Not being able to lower the hatch using the inside (drivers seat) button is absolutely stupid. It annoys the hell out of me!

Thanks everyone. This is the first car i have owned that you had to hold the button instead of push it.

Porsche should have specified in their website about vehicle standard feature that the power hatch includes remote opening capability only but not closing.

Haha I'm picturing a quick get away from the bank with stolen cash! And.. all the cash flying out the back because the liftgate hasn't closed ..
