Iphone 5

I was a little worried when I plugged it in this afternoon. But so everyone knows it works.

Integrates fine with PCM.
Was unpleasantly surprised that the Verizon version does not allow you to surf the net and talk on the phone at same time. Thought the true 4G that iPhone 5 has would have that capability. Like the phone though in other ways.

I am waiting for my GTS to arrive in Australia (23 Oct) and have not dared to upgrade my iPhone 4S to iPhone 5 for fear that it would have issues with my new Cayenne. Have you found any integration issues after using your iPhone 5 with your cayenne for a few days?

Unfortunately, I can only comment on bluetooth (phone call) integration, which all works well. As for music, I can't comment on that as I've yet to try it. I used an iPod classic which holds all the songs in lossless format, so that I can make my speaker worth..

Order placed, only question is which one will arrive first, the iPhone 5 or my GTS. The GTS is currently on a ship in the mid-Indian ocean somewhere between Durbin SA and Fremantle AUS. the iPhone probably hadn't been born yet.

I’m trying to finalize my CD options list. If the PCM and Voice control are ordered, is there a need for the telephone module with or without the cordless handset for hands-free calling on the iPhones?

I don't have voice control, but for phone functions, I just press and hold the home button on iPhone, Siri comes online and work through the bluetooth.

I think the two are separate, that is; PCM phone and telephone module. I have the PCM and Bluetooth set-up (no voice control). But it needs to have a paired cellphone within Bluetooth range, and it's the phone itself that transmits and receives using it's own antenna. Pretty sure the telephone module option is a standalone handsfree phone system, one that that stays with the car. It transmits and receives using its' own electronics via the car antenna. Only thing you have to do is add a SIM card from your provider.

In otherwords, the PCM/BT system is an extension of your cellphone, the telephone module is a self-contained system with it's own SIM-based phone number. But I won't even speculate whether it has its own voice control.
