New Cayenne Diesel

Hey guys,

I thought I would take a quick minute to post a picture or two of my wifes new DD.

About 3 months ago, we bought a new Cayenne Diesel and were not sure how much we would like the truck. It was bought as a daily driver for my wife. Our local dealer did not have much in stock and the Diesel had just hit the US, so nobody was trading inventory. So, we got one that was nice, but not perfect. Figured that if we liked it, we would order or trade for one later on.

Needless to say, we loved it. It was the perfect DD for her, and not that fuel mileage is everything, but she averages 28 MPH in all around driving.

The opportunity presented itself to upgrade. So, we pulled the trigger on a new 2013 Cayenne Diesel. Great equipment.

Premium Package Plus.
14 way seats.
Heated and Cooled
Xenon with PDL
Power Sunshade
Black Trim
Black Roof Rail
21 Turbo Wheels
Entry and Drive

Aside from the fact that the clock works in this one ( other one died and we like the quiet )... We love it. I had the windows tinted, and swapped out my blacked lights from her trade in.

Here are a few quick pictures.

Let me know what you guys think.

Also, our trade had GTS 20 inch wheels with all seasons. This one has summer tires. Will she be able to drive with this tire in the winter, or do I need to swap out for some snow/all season tires.

Over here in Western Kentucky, I get by reasonably well with all season tires. We're more rain and slush in the winter, than we are snow and ice. But the winter tire compound truly does have better adhesion on cold surfaces. That said - if I lived in Cincinnati - I think I'd strongly consider the summer tire/winter tire solution. Matter of fact, there's a guy here that's selling two sets of new 18" winter tires on used Porsche rims. I already checked, and you can FedEx a set from CA to OH for about $220

Don't drive in snow with Summer tires! I did it once and it was dangerous. Congrats on the 2nd new Diesel.

I love my Diesel too. Great DD!

My dealer just told me my diesel arrives port end of November. I'm supposed to be happy and giddy at this great news but somehow the 11 month torturous wait has dulled my excitement. I kinda feel indifferent right now. Damn you Porsche Taiwan!

Very nice.. I've owned mine since they hit the ground in August, and I couldn't be happier.

I've had my eye on a set of 20" wheels/tires, but for now the 18s will work just fine. They're less expensive to replace.. but I do like the big'uns..

I tinted the tails with my friend. It's black paint cut down to be more thin. Several layers and lots of clear. This is what you get !
