side view mirror distorted!
My 2013 Cayenne diesel with auto dimming mirrors do not have the distortion in the drivers mirror, so it may have been a bad manufacture batch as noted above. As long as the service folks notice and agree with you, they should be willing to replace the mirror under warranty as the distortion could be a safety issue in some driving conditions, at least that is what I'd claim and have them note it on the service form.
I will try also but I have done some much hi way driving both day and night I would have thought I would have noticed.
Upon second thought objects stay in the mirrors for such a short time, I may never get the chance to test

Removing stock side mirror on 958 Cayenne
I like the Euro mirror. I removed the standard one as soon as my Cayenne was delivered and pop in the Euro style. The image is smaller since it is aspheric, but it eliminates the blind spot issues without the need for a stick on convex mirror. LCA helps, but it is not a cure all for the visibility issues.
Here some more discussion in the 997 forum if you are interested. I also have these on my Carrera.

I used the method illustrated here:

This one was published in 1998, but doesn't look like things have changed much. Basically tilt the mirror as far down and towards the vehicle as it will go. I worked near the mounting point to get it to release which is more top than side. If needed, work a trim tool between the mirror back and the mount to get it to release. However, both of mine came off with steady finger pressure.
