Windshield polishing?

I discovered 3 scratches on my windshield. They are relatively superficial and each couple of inches long, probably from winter ?scraping/cleaning.
I am wondering if it can be polished or repaired somehow. I know they repair big dents and deep scratches, but did anybody have experience with relatively superficial ones?

There may be distortion on the glass after polishing, depending if the scratches are at the driver's line of vision, the distortion may or may not be apparent.

TGED, did you have any experience with it?
I am trying to find out if polishing/repair of superficial scratches can be done and if yes, to find a place that would do a good job.

I've been waiting to see someone post something about the windshield. It seems the glass in my windshield is inferior to the glass in my GMC Yukon as the Cayenne glass seems to be getting slight scratches and also has one small 1-2mm chip whereas my 12 year old GMC windshield is clear as new. Anyone experience that?

I had some light scratches on my Panamera windshield which I had some glass repair guy polished them off. The scratches did totally disappear but I was able to notice some distortion on the repaired area when seeing out from the driver seat, I ended up replacing the whole windshield. A lot of people are saying that the Porsche windshield glass is quite soft and does get scratched and chipped easily.

Same thing true of BMWs; tons of chips and scratches suggest a soft glass - I wonder what glass the Germans are using.

11 days after getting my CTT I was on the highway and something big hit my hood leaving several paint gouges and then it hit the windshield making 4 or 5 little dings slightly below the view looking forward. I don't think these very small chips will ever worsen. I brought it to a glass guy hoping there was a way to repair the tiny little chips but he said there wasn't.
I don't want to replace a brand new windshield so I learned to forget about the chips..

I went to my glass guy after my chip and he said it was too shallow for him to do anything. This was around October. He told me to keep an eye on it as it gets colder. If the chip was deep enough some water might get in there and when it freezes it will expand and further damage the glass eventually creating a crack on the windshield itself at which point I had the option of either having him fix it or getting a new windshield. Nothing happened during winter. I still have the same exact sized tiny little chips which I barely notice. My dealer was telling me that Porsche uses layered glass. The outer layer is soft but the inner layer(s) are hard to protect. There is not much to do when the outer layer gets damaged. He looked at my windshield and told me that I could get a new one but the chips are so small that it wouldn't make sense moneywise to do so.

I wish I could do the same

Mine has superficial scratches 4-5 inches long; need to find a place that can polish it.

You may get optical distortion after you polished the glass.

fortunately it is on the passenger side, not the critical area.
