The eagle has finally landed...and its a black black loaded 958 V8DS!
The eagle has finally landed...and its a black black loaded 958 V8DS!
Ok you Cayenne guys, it's finally here. You may have heard me ranting on about the v8ds earlier on....as i have a tendancy of doing at times hehe..
...Wife is now happy and the 997tt has acquired a new stable mate (altho could justifiably be getting a little nervous with 991tts soon available hehe). Anyway took a few pics and more to come. It's a beast for sure and i'm definitely gonna have to take the reigns of this beautiful animal and give it some exercise soon. Anyway let me know your thoughts and don't hold back ok. It's basically fully loaded inside and out. Did the custom red callipers, 21" turbo 11's. Stainless quad pipes, tinted tail lights and the black adaptive bi xenons for exterior effects. It looks way better in the flesh! Wife is behind the wheel and has a big smile (sorry had to blank her out but she insisted).
This one is her driving out of the dealership..more to come.
Enjoy!

Rear end shot...back in the stable.

New friends ...or enemies..
A fight to the death over who wins in the power stakes or, an acceptance of one anthers strengths and weaknesses. Only time will tell...

A shot of the big V8 (282kw 850nm) pony. More torque than the 997tt!

Glimpse of the inside... note the silver trim finishes instead of the piano black...has the full leather, television option, full sat nav with rev cameras inc front and rear park sensors, phone, lighting package, pana roof full electric column etc etc.... It actually feels like a 10 star hotel inside.

A side on shot..

A close up shot of the black adaptive bi xenons. No 4 leds like the GTS's unfortunately but still a nice feature none the less..

Dammit i forgot to take it with the tele on. It's nearly as good as the plasma actually.. I'll have to take another tomorrow and post it..that's if the wife trusts me the keys hehe..

Even looks like fun for the rear passengers....buckle up tight tho. They also get the cute micro led diamond lights on the inside edge of the armrests.

This thing is way too clean and shiny. I'm gonna have to take it out soon and get it dirty.

..a bit like nightrider on steroids maybe?

factory fresh. If i have to level any criticism it would be on the plastic lid. As pretty as it looks i like to see some real engine candy thanks.

The GT Silver and the Jet Black Metallic. Looking cosy together in stark contrast.

Ok guys i'll plan to take some more pics in the daylight so i can get some more rear end shots etc but can you believe it ever since we picked it up the very next morning the damn clouds rolled in and it's been absolutely teaming rain ever since dammit! Wife is insisting on at least a few fair weather days in her brand new car before she gets it dirty. Oh well silly i know but if its still raining tomorrow then im gonna have to out the foot down and out she goes regardless. So final pics to come in a day or so.

I like those rims. My Cayenne deposits brake dust on the standard painted alloys with alarming speed. Keeping them clean is quite time consuming. The flat black areas of your rims should camouflage the brake dust sufficiently to take a big bite out of all that wheel cleaning time.

You said let us know what we think with no holding back?
Well- it's gorgeous in every way. Congrats on all the killer options.
The sports package is such a wonderful addition to the outside appearance.
You will be more in love with this as times goes on.

So jealous I can barely speak! Great job on the build, that's a dream cayenne for sure.
Looks like you have the top-of-the-line 18-way seats as well. Are those standard on the Diesel S, or an upgrade? Also, I've never heard anyone comment on how they feel compared to the 14-way seats....curious if you've sat in both and have a perspective on the difference.
Dying for the US to offer the diesel S, but sadly when I was at the local dealership a few weeks ago they started building and ordering their 2014 cayennes and told me the diesel S was still not being brought here for 2014. Was crossing my fingers that Porsche would see strong enough v6 diesel sales in 2013 to give us the grand daddy. Will continue dreaming.
Congrats on your car, looks great next to the TT. Rough life indeed.

RNS,
There are some old postings floating around about the 14 way compared to the 18 way. I sat in both several times before my final order and fell in love with the 18s. I am thin and can make them wrap around me which is wonderful. It is like a race seat holding you in place on the turns. However, the previous posts suggested that for someone who is not thin they may be to limiting. Also some people have a little trouble getting over the bolsters when getting in and out of the car.
I searched and found one discussion on them:

There is a thread (about getting the PDK actually) on RL that mentions that the soonest we might see the CDS is 2017.

I would have checked the box for the 18 way but it's my wife's unit and she is 5'5" and would tear the sides up in less than a year. Even with taller folks I bet it just takes a little longer.
