Front passenger seat belt backward from factory

I notice on my 2013 Cayenne S, the front passenger seat belt is twisted backward. I managed to flip it over at the gap and then the seat belt did not retract smoothly, because I had actually moved the twisted part behind the wall. I was at my dealership today, and strangely 2 of the 911s front passenger seat belts were also installed backward, the other cars including a Cayenne were correct. So my advisor is looking into it. Anyone has the same issue? I don't see any reason for the seat belt to be installed backward.

In my 991, both front belts appears to me to be twisted 180* at the floor insertion compared to my Honda and BMW. The belt buckle was pointing in the right direction though.

I was at the dealer again yesterday and this was what I found, on the 2 911s both front seat belts were twisted, on the Panameras, Cayennes, Caymans and Boxsters, all seat belts were not twisted. On my Cayenne, only the front passenger seat belt is twisted. I am going to get them to correct it.

But if you flip over the floor insertion part the twist will be at the B-pillar and the buckle will be pointing the wrong direction, go try it and you will see what I mean.

Hard to tell but it looks like the seat belt may be installed properly but the buckle got flipped to the wrong side. Fold the seat belt length wise (with longest crease possible) and slide the bucket over the crease to the other side

The seat belt itself was definitely flipped over at the tensioner behind the B-pillar during installation. The buckle and the end that is attached to the seat bottom were correctly installed.

But why would the 911s also have the front belts mounted backward? Very strange.

If your passenger is different than the driver's side, then one of them is definitely wrong.

If I flip mine, it still won't look like yours. The buckle will be pointing backwards.

Should be a easy fix in your case by the dealer.

Porsche has a red seat belt kit for retro fit, therefore I hope it is an easy fix for the dealer.
