22" rims

Just bought a used 2011 Cayenne turbo which came with the original 20" RS Spyder rims. I feel the rims don't do the car justice, and wanted to upgrade to either 21" or aftermarket 22" rims. Anyone have 21 or 22 and an share some feedback on ride quality/harshness? For comparison I have 22" on the new range rover hse and 20" on the 991S, both of which drive great without unnecessary jarring

Only dilemma is the 21" only come with summer tires (no all season tires are made that size based on my research, so I would need a dedicated winter set), while the 22" can be had with all season tires, so I can sell my rims.

Any ideas?

Same problem. I bought 21" winters for the OEM Cayenne Sport Editions. Have sourced brand new summers which were take-offs. 20" spyder wheels sitting in garage. Too bad no options for 21" all seasons. 22" wheels not to my liking for the CTT.

I have 22's, and it does ride a tad bit harsher. I don't think it is a night and day difference in terms of ride quality but if you are sensitive, you will notice it.

I am not sure if the 22's can be had with all seasons.

Congrats on the purchase! I've done the same thing - they seem to be a lot of car for the money, after the initial depreciation.

I have 22" with all-seasons. On a PDCC Cayenne it's fine. More comfortable than a rental Rav4 or stock M3, for example. Ride is not jarring. There is more road feel, and it feels more sporty as opposed to luxurious, but not uncomfortable at all. Maybe a bit more tiring on very long drives.

I wanted 20" for more robustness and posted a swap post earlier - you can find it few threads below. But I am warming up to 22" wheels now and thinking about keeping them. If I did not need to drive on gravel or dirt roads from time to time, I'd definitely keep them - they do look better. But I am too worried about messing them up with rocks, especially once I get back into rock climbing (getting to climbs may involve dirt/rocky roads).

Nice wheels - I also have Modulare B18s. I have no problems with the ride on the 22's either.

It's actually the Vorsteiner VS. They do look very similiar though!

I agree, the 22's ride is hardly noticeable and on the low setting it just looks wicked!

Those 22's looks fantastic. I gotta figure out what I'm going to do as well, not really looking to swap my 21's back and forth. Not sure a 20" rim is going to look as good... man what a pain.

Anyone put something more "off road" looking on their Cayenne? More knobby?

I have Champion RG5B 22s
I had the 20" spyders, and wanted to go for 21s and was hesitant when SA recommended 22s
I thought the ride would be too harsh..
..turns out he was right, they look awesome and feel fine, even on Miami's worst roads(thanks to AS)
I actually believe they make the ride and steering more precise(aall the way up to 175mph)..while making my pepper look hawter

Wow... yeah, I need 22's. I really like those B18's... Could go crazy and get red or bronze, might be fun on my black GTS.
