Omg!!!
Omg!!!
It's been four days since I picked up my new CD and the smile has yet to leave my face!!!
I ordered the car on January 25 and was told to expect it around the beginning of May. Ultimately, and to my great surprise, it left Germany on March 29 and arrived at the port of Davisville on April 8th. It was picked up at the dock on the evening of the 16th, delivered to the dealer in Northern VA on the 17th and placed into my loving arms on the 18th.
FYI here are the highlights:
Jet Green Metallic
Espresso/Cognac Interior w/Walnut Trim
Convenience Package
Panoramic Roof
Entry & Drive
ParkAssist
Bose Audio
TPMS
Voice Control
Steering Wheel
I mention the latter, because given that Porsche charges for all the things that are standard on Kia's and Hondas, I was amazed that they so graciously included the steering wheel at no extra charge!!!
Anyway, my days of reading this forum and watching Youtube videos on an hourly basis has come to an end!!! Now when I want some Porsche, I just go sit in my garage and smile.
The car is all that and more!!! Quick, quiet and exquisite!! However, with that said I do have a couple of nitpicking observations......
1. Not enough interior storage.
2. I would have preferred an opaque liner for the sunroof. The liner and the pop-up wind screen both seem like they could rip very very easily.
3. Drink holder is not deep enough and I'm very afraid I will knock over a cup of coffee and flood the center console.
4. Standard 18-inch wheels with boring wheel. Just OK.
5. The owner's manual and PCM manual are like reading the New York City yellow pages.....and there is some awkward English in both.
I recognize that every car, like every woman, has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. This car is gorgeous and like the babe she is, will no doubt be an expensive high-maintenance fantasy.
But, hell......I deserve it!!!

Congrats, I'll have to keep an eye out for you. I bet that green looks nice, but unfortunately it wasn't an option when I ordered my '13.
Oh, and I'm 1.5ish years in and still smile every time I look at it

Congrats! It's a great vehicle!
One thing I disagree on is the cup holders. Yes, they are shallow but those grippers that are in there really work well. I have mine grabbing some pretty tall and heavy travel mugs and they are fine. Only thing they struggle with is tall big boy take out drinks.

Congrats!.. Great car. I also got my '14 CD platinum edition 1st week of April (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ion-owner.html). Really like the espresso/cognac seats. The smell of the full leather just stays in the car. Those cup holder already got me into an accident while getting off ramp onto a highway. The drink just jump out at you while making a sharp turn.

I can't figure out why GREEN is so attractive to me!!! Maybe it's the new spring grass, maybe the trees. Or maybe its a subliminal reminder of something else....I just can't figure it out!!!

As requested, attached is a photo of the interior. I think its the two-tone interior that sets it apart from the uni-color of many other Cayennes.
My wife keeps reminding me of how "manly" it is!! I would love to smoke a cigar while driving down the road, to give it that "man castle" aroma, but with my luck I'd burn a hole in the leather.
