Pirelli Pzero tire life question and road force from Dealer

Hello all,

I have a 14' CD with about 5k miles, last week I was out of town and my mom took the vehicle in for service, reg oil change etc, they told her that the car need it tire rotation because the front tires had more wear, so she ok the service..this was last week, so today I noticed the front tires and to me the wear is high.. do you need regular service for this

I'm no fan of Ps as the last few sets I've had have had extremely low life spans. So if your "enjoying" your Cayenne, it wouldn't surprise me that they are already worn down.

What does surprise me is that the fronts are worn more than the rear since this is a rear bias AWD system. The wear should be fairly close with the rear getting a bit more. Maybe she misunderstood/misspoke and it really was the rears they were talking about?

As far as the balancing, its possible you lost a weight or something but it sounds like they probably suckered some work out of her there if your weren't noticing any issues.

I know it's a totally different car but when I had the Panamera Turbo, I would eat through my front tires 2x faster then my rears.

Now with the Cayenne Turbo, I get a more balanced tire wear with my rears taking the lead by a hair. Regarding tire wear, I have aftermarket 22's with Michelin Diamaris and I got 31k out of the first set.

I think for OEM sizes, the only available Michelin in OEM sizing would be the Latitudes. Great tire too.

I have stock Michelin Latitude 21 inch tires on a Cayenne Turbo and judging on the wear after nine thousand miles if I get 20,000 including the rotation I'll be lucky.

imho michelin is very bad, for turbo they worn out after two seasons, rear weas more than front, plus they are loud and have weak sidewall.
pirelli is "plastic", good only in warm weather
try continental.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Continentals.

Tire tread came uneven at new, excessive road noise and very low grip compared to the other manufacturers.

I've had bad experiences with high performance car Contis, but the last few SUV tires I've had from them have given me the longest life I've ever seen out of a tire. The only reason I don't expect my factory Contis to last is because I put them through an AutoX early on that chewed them up pretty good.
