Fabspeed Bypass Update

So I returned home today from FLA with some 1400 miles on the new exhuast(stock muffler still in place) I figured it was BS about better gas mileage. In 7 prior 2400 mile roundtrips best I could do in 8th gear avg. 79 MPH was 19.7 MPG. coming home same MPH avg. 21.4 MPH. Its not BS. When they breath better they are more efficient.
The sound is real nice. A nice rumble at idle and a kool exhaust rumble when it shifts from 1 to 2. Also a nice rumble at cruise. Loud at full throttle, and the cold start is really loud. I ca only imagine what it sounds like ouside as the interior is really soundproofed pretty well on these Cayennes. NO CEL whatsover.
All in all what you all waiting for

No other mods needed on that beast.

Loved the report on the pipes. Another thing to add to the wish list.
Very interesting that they can improve the gas mileage to a noticeable degree.
I know you have been tracking your mileage carefully on the FL journeys.

You don't feel it's too loud on the GTS? I was worried it might be...

it depends on what you like, cold start is really really loud, but if you have the sport off during normal driving you will not notice the change, only in high revs.
with the sport it just feels like another car, it completely change the feeling just because of the sound. here is a video a recorded soon after i installed it myself. sorry for the vertical video it was hard to take when driving

From what I've read, it seems the Turbo and GTS do sound very different with the same aftermarket exhaust systems. Mine sounded way too raspy with the bypass. In fact, I have not heard one on a GTS that doesn't sound raspy. I want it to sound deep and rumble, the search continues...

Warehouser- I don't know how the Tubi sounds on the GTS but I heard it on the Turbo and it sounds very deep. I am holding out for that exhaust when it comes time to pull the trigger.

I agree about the very different sounds of GTS vs Turbo. When I first test drove both I fell in love with the deep sound of the turbo.

From other threads I read, the Tubi is on the loud side on NA engines. The Turbo's tend to be quieter and as a result with the Tubi, it's not unbearable.

I'm holding out for an Akrapovic, hopefully by end of year.

N/A vs. forced induction. Turbochargers themselves will muffle sound.
