Any ETA for NEW Cayenne GTS?
Any ETA for NEW Cayenne GTS?
I tried the search function without results. I apologize if this has already been answered.
A friend has an '09 GTS Cayenne and loves it. She waited too long to order a 2014 GTS and now there isn't a GTS available yet for the '15. I'm sure a GTS is coming, but does anyone have any idea when?
The question is whether to grab a current '14 GTS, not optioned exactly right, or wait for how long to be able to order one to spec. Any ideas?

Not sure why she thinks there are none left. I'm assuming you are in the USA. There are hundreds of new GTS left on AutoTrader, and CarGurus shows 34 new GTS within 500 miles of my central FL location. I don't think you will see a GTS in the Cayenne refresh model lineup for a couple of years when demand dips enough to provide the capacity. JMO.
Thanks!
I appreciate the advice. I searched every white GTS within 1000 miles of SoCal. It goes without saying that there isn't a single car optioned exactly the way she'd want it. With Porsche's option list - how could it be? Really, she wants her Cayenne GTS to be almost an exact match to her 997.2 GTS. Picky, huh?
Her last two 911's were both ordered to spec so she could get exactly what she wanted, but her current ('09) Cayenne GTS was bought "off the rack." She'd be happier with a custom order, but that ship has sailed for the present generation.
I'm a firm believer in Murphy's Law, at least for myself. If I decided to buy a current stock car, they'd announce the new GTS within a month or two. If I decided to wait -- it's probably be two years!
Oh well, nothing's ever perfect.

I see there are 2 white GTS's up here at Carlsen. The first one seems to be spec'd out decently.
2014 Porsche Cayenne GTS
2014 Porsche Cayenne GTS
Not white but silver
2014 Porsche Cayenne GTS
2014 Porsche Cayenne GTS

HOiYA:
The first car you listed is very close. If it had the 14 ways it would be perfect. If it were me I'd jump on it, but it's not me...
I will definitely show it to her. Thanks!

Has anyone received any credible information on the anticipated release of the NEW GTS? I've seen February of 2015 mentioned in other forums. If February, I am inclined to wait for the 2015. If later, I am planning to spec out a heavily optioned "S" model. Any information or advice would be appreciated!

Stranger things have happened, but Porsche almost always reserves the special GTS models for later years. It would be surprising (at least to me) if the new Cayennes are an exception to this.
+1. Probably won't see it for a couple of years.
+2 if Porsche holds true to form 1-2 years
I know that Porsche typically holds the GTS back for a couple of years following a redesign (see, for example, the new Cayman / Boxter), but Porsche has carried over the GTS model following a mid-cycle facelift. For example, the GTS model carried over for the face-lifted 2014 Panamera. I am going to go ahead and order the "S", but, particularly when considering the absence of the "base" Cayenne, it would not surprise me if the GTS makes an appearance sooner than anticipated.
