Max width of 22" wheels

Hi all, looking for guidance on the maximum width of rim that the 958 CTT can accommodate. I'm looking at a 22" wheel and have had 22x10's in the past which worked well; I've seen a beautiful set of used Modulare's with a 22x10 front and 22x11 rear. Would that be too wide for the Cayenne?

Also, with the offset, is it recommended to stick with 50 in a 22", or could a 65 front, 68 rear work without affecting performance and looks too much?

Thanks for your help!

The limiting factor is the rim width in the front. With a 22x10 you are good and the 22x11 will fit the back fine too. With that staggered wheel setup, are you also planning on running staggered tire widths? You might want to verify what tire widths you are planning. On the 958's, the widest I have heard from other users is 295. One guy said he ran 305's without it rubbing on the fronts, but not confirmed.

The offset is really dependent on the wheel itself. My stock 21" were a ET50 and the new set of of HRE's I just ordered are an ET55. If the wheels are too sunken in (higher ET), you can always add spacers to push them out, but if the offset already pushes you wheel out (lower ET) past the fenders, you are SOL. With an offset of 65/68, they must be some serious concave wheels or you will need to get spacers.

That's most helpful, really appreciate the information, thanks! Which model of HRE did you go with? I'd love to see some photos when they're on

I ordered a set of HRE P101 22x10.5. You can see a couple of shots in that thread. Will definitely post some pics once the new shows are on the CTTS!

Year end sales are DANGEROUS! Vendors make it real hard to avoid the MOD bug around this time of year.

Just yesterday I came down with a case of "exhaust upgrade-itis". To over come that, I had to pick up an Akrapovic Evo to alleviate the condition.

Which Modulare's were you looking at? Were they the B18 Evo? What tires were you planning on running?

Haha! The Akro exhaust is amazing, definitely on my mod list at some point. I had the same bug last week, I think it must be going around. Unfortunately we were in Restoration Hardware at the time...got to keep the Mrs happy!

I was looking at the B11 and C11, the latter turned out to be a used set from a Panny, so probably wouldn't fit correctly. Still searching for the right wheel at this point. Tire wise, most likely a 295/30/22 all season, either Toyo Proxy or Parada Spec X. I've had the Parada in the past and really liked them. What did you go for for your HRE's?

I haven't purchased the tires yet as the wheels will probably be another 2-3 weeks before they arrive. Being in CA, I am opting to getting summer tires and I have a set of dedicated winter set for ski trips. I've narrowed my choice down to either Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta or Michelin Pilot Super Sport, both in a 295/30 size.
