Wind noise
Wind noise
My 2013 Cayenne has some annoying wind noise from the D/S and P/S doors.
I took the car to the dealer in Albuquerque and the service manager indicated it was a common issue and replaces the D/S door seal. There was not much change. I have subsequently learned that the Albuquerque does not have a very good reputation for service. I plan on taking the car to Tucson (almost the same driving distance).
Before I do this I would like to hear from the forum if anyone has any info on this issue.
Thanks

some says that sound comes from untight vertical inner seal of door glass triangle. cure is to push seal edge inside to tighten a seal.
some says that sound comes from bad seal around big plastic part that holds speaker behind door panel. cure is to reseal this panel.

I took my car to the dealer in St Petersburg and was told that the clear bra applied to the mirrors is causing the wind noise. The small knife edge of the material apparently causes the noise.
Anyone else hear of this ?

It's hard to say without actually experiencing the noise and seeing your install, but it is possible. Cars these days are designed to limit air resistance to such a degree that even a seemingly small change can have a significant impact.
In this case it is possible that if the edge is in just the wrong place it could be creating an eddy in the air stream and causing buffeting which would be what you are hearing.

, yea sure dumbass Porsche dealer whatever you say.
I just said it was possible, not that I believe it
If it were me (e.g. I knew the sound and was confident in the work (e.g. bra install) done to the car) I would take the dealer's response as an excuse to avoid having to do the work (either to figure it out or maybe they already know and it is not an easy fix). Technically the Mag-Moss Act here in the US says that they are required to prove that the modification is at fault, but this would be a tough one to fight as it is a plausible (if not likely) explanation of a cause.
Unfortunately I think the options are to live with it, have the film removed if possible, or replace the mirror caps if removal is not possible. You might ask the dealer if they have a new cap in stock or if they'll swap from one of the other vehicles so you can take it for a test drive and see if that fixes/reduces the issue. If it doesn't help, that labor and parts should go against the warranty rather than your bank account.

Noise
The dealer used some masking tape over the edge of the clear bra and the noise went away. I'm going to do the same thing and go from there.
The dealer was hesitant to pull the clear bra off as it might take some paint off the mirror.
