When going into sports or sports plus mode, the revs at idle increase which makes it sound louder.

Try only pressing the PSE button when in normal mode and that will give you a better idea if it opens up or not

Also, there is a quick mod to keep PSE activated at all times. Just disconnected the link to the exhaust flaps. It is surprisingly easy to do (just pull out the pin / washer from the rear exhaust pipes and pull up to remove the link).

My ’16 GTS sounds exactly the same @ idle with the exhaust/Sport/Sport Plus buttons selected/not selected. No difference until ~3k RPM.

Does disconnecting the valves make the exhaust louder @ idle (and below 3k RPM)? I did this on my 991 GT3 which worked great, wondering if it works the same on the 958.2 GTS?

I just installed the Fabspeed Cat Bypass pipes on Friday. The sound under wide open throttle is great – right up to redline. The sounds on upshifts and deceleration are especially entertaining. Still no V8, but WAAAY better. The sound has been my only letdown with this vehicle and this exhaust does a pretty good job of fixing that.

so had my 10K service. NO software updates were needed. I kept my instant on sport exhaust. Thank goodness.
