PCM pix

For the curious, here's some pix of the PCM out of the dash in a 2017 Cayenne.

The whole unit is an L shape. The touchscreen has nothing but dead (open) space behind it. The ***** & SD and SIM card slots are on the front of what you'd think of as "the radio" in old-school installs.

I don't know what all the connectors are for, but the usual guesses apply. Three coax-style connectors are likely AM/FM, Satellite and cell data.

I just happened to have the phone handy and took some pix. Perhaps searches on the part num

This is a picture of the previous PCM hardware. Note it's much taller behind the screen. They've consolidated all of that now down into a smaller box at the bottom. The space inside the dash is still sized for the bigger unit though. Now it's just empty space behind the screen part.

This is bc this PCM is essentially the same hardware as the Audi MMI , with different interface.
Even the FCC number is the same

The latest PCM 4 (the Harmon MIB-2 unit) might be a problem. The screen now sits 'behind' the lip of the vents, without a bezel (frame). The previous PCM sat in-between the vents and had a plastic bezel around the screen. So unless the vents were modified (if they even could be) it wouldn't work.

Then there's the question of whether the vehicle could even be programmed to recognize it properly. I'm unclear on just how much resides on the PCM itself.

So my first guess would be, no, it wouldn't work as a simple drop-in retrofit.

Half of that unit is the 6 disc cd changer.
