Unhappy Replacing cracked sunroof

So the other week I was driving on the motorway and the car in front threw up a big rock which hit my sunroof and cracked up pretty badly.

The front section of the panoramic roof is cracked and needs replacing.

Does anyone have a schematic or diagram of the panoramic sunroof for the Cayenne 958.2 for a cayenne GTS?

I want to know whats involved in replacing this unit.

I have a zero deductible on my comprehensive policy. $1000 for collision, and used a couple of time for glass coverage never on a sunroof.

As long as you were hit by a moving object its not chargeable, and best of no cost!

Good luck seems like a job for a glass shop.

I had a nightmare with a dealer that replaced mine, seals installed incorrectly and a corner of the frame was "super glued" in place. Whether replacing yourself or having insurance do so, be sure to have it leak tested before driving off into the sunset!

Thanks for the advice mate, now you've made me even more worried lol.

I'm still waiting for them to get the replacement glass in stock, it's been nearly 2 weeks now and they're waiting for it to arrive from Germany.

The good part is that they will only be replacing the front portion of the pano-roof so I hope it's not as big of a job as replacing the entire panoramic room.

Fingers crossed

100% of the issues with my replacement were on the frame and where the seals were installed. Since the back piece of glass was cracked (which is a fixed part of the frame), it was a much more labor intensive job for the mechanics.
I trust yours to go much smoother, fingers crossed!
