Panoramic sun-roof buffeting
Panoramic sun-roof buffeting
When opening the panoramic sunroof on my MY14 CD, I'm getting a ton of buffeting from the wind. If I move it forward an inch, it stops.
Is there anyway to adjust the backstop setting so it stops earlier and I don't have to adjust it every time - my dealer says no..

I usually just crack a window an inch or two to cancel out the harmonic resonance. Haven't tried different opening widths for the sunroof itself. Will follow this thread to see if any suggestions are posted.
I used to do that, but discovered if you just close the sunroof an inch, then it stops the buffeting, without causing undue noise from an open window or wind.. I might have a look to see if there's a physical stop that can be moved, and then hopefully not burn out the sunroof motor ;-)
Well... the motors usually are trained - to learn the end limits of travel by pressing and holding the button down even after the window/sunroof is at the full limit of it's travel. It would seem possible to add something like a small wooden block to make it stop earlier - then train it - and remove the block. It should remember that position as the end of travel in that direction.
