Anyone remove just the "front muffler" from their 958.1 V6? I noticed the 957 has straight pipes through this area and I recently installed an axleback aftermarket exhaust on my 958 but was disappointed with the minimal change in tone.

Wondering if I eliminate the forward/mid muffler if it will make an appreciable difference. Don't want to go cutting and welding if its a waste of time.

 

Bumping this thread as it looks easy to put an x pipe there... other wise I am going to do the muffler bypass as in pic.
