Baseline 2012 Cayenne Turbo Dyno 470hp!
Hello all,
So yesterday I decided to take the Cayenne in for a quick dyno to get some baseline numbers before I start modding. The car is 100% stock running 92 Octane. It was around 77 degrees and pretty dry.
The dyno was a Mustang AWD at ECS Performance in Windsor Locks, CT. Paul the owner performed both runs. Paul and his crew were great, very knowledgeable and professional. They were even able to tap into a vacuum line to capture boost pressure for the runs.
The car was strapped down by the control arms and loading level 1 was selected. The car was in Manual mode, sport mode, trac off and 5th gear.
For first run the car was running pretty hot especially towards the end of the run. They had 1 large fan blowing directly centered to the car. I was shocked with the numbers. I was expecting in the low 400hp but instead got a nice 452 hp and 461 ft-lbs corrected.
For the second run they added a couple more smaller fans blowing and we let the car cool down for a good 15 min and tried again. This time the results were even more impressive 470 hp and 511 ft-lbs!
The results far exceeded my expectations, almost to the point that I am skeptical. I bought the car from the 2nd owner around a year ago. He definitely never did any mods. And I recently got a PCM and Transmission update from the dealer. I am told that even if I did have a tune it would have been wiped by the upgrade.
What do you all think? I plan on doing either a GIAC or Cobb tune, 3" exhaust w/2nd cat bypasses, IPD Plenum, and BMC air filters. I would be happy with 600hp at the crank.
