2009 Cayenne GTS

Hi there

I am thinking of replacing my GL450 with a Cayenne GTS - still a bit hesitant as I had one of the first Cayenne S in 2003 at had a ton of problems with that (to the point that Porsche paid me $15,000 compensation).

I found a 09 GTS at CarMax for $47k (http://www.carmax.com/enus/view-car/...b-b5c487b63bb0 ) - would love to have your guys thought on this?

What is your experience with reliability for 09 GTS?
What extras would you consider a must?
Any thoughts on the CarMax offer? $6000 below KBB sound pretty good, but is 58,000miles an issue?

Appreciate your help

09 for 47k sounds really really low. That truck has high miles. I bought a loaded 08 from a forum member 6 months ago and you will love the truck! Full leather is a MUST ( Dash and doors covered in leather instead of that horrible plastic grainy stuff ) I suggest you avoid the pano roof at all cost, because it will always make noise and eventually cost you more money then it is worth...

You should really try to find one that has been babied with low miles. I am happy to help.

I have a 2010 GTS that I bought new with 8 miles on the clock. It now has 41,XXX and it has been trouble free so far. I've owned quote of few recent Porsches, and they seem to be as reliable as any other car on the market or even more reliable. I think my company Toyotas have had more recalls then all my Porsches combined.

Cayenne A4 GTS is infamous around these parts
That price does seem low, but options are huge for these cars. I would strongly suggest the park assist option. If you've ever used it on a Cayenne before you will know why. Makes it very easy to park without bumps and dings. Satellite and iPhone connect is a nice luxury too. Its always good to get the original MSRP or options list to get a good idea what you're buying. I've seen a bad condition 80k GTS and a mint condition 94k GTS, both 08 both with around 35k in miles and both listed for $48k. Its good to look out for the details.

Also, you can usually call a service department at the local dealership, give them the VIN and get the options on the car.

Love the GTS, good luck with your search. Post some pics if you get it!

That one's not too bad but it doesn't seem to have much for options aside from the PCM. From that one wheel pic in the ad it looks like that wheel may have a bit of curbing and of course it's hard to tell from a pic, but that rotor looks a bit rusty as well (could just be from a recent wash or just from sitting). Anyhow, if it were me I wouldn't go for that one because it doesn't have any of the options that I consider a must on these vehicles - full leather, PDCC, park assist, and low mileage...

I would look for a CPO GTS, just had a a low voltage in my 09 GTS thought is was the battery but ended up being a board that was bad, paid for the CPO price on first visit to the dealer. other than this everything is great
Love the ride and yes get the full leather much much better interior
let us know how is works out for ya

IMO, full leather and PDCC are must on GTS

I picked up an 08 GTS last month with 22K miles for 54K just to give you an idea on prices.

Love this thing!

I'm selling my 2009 GTS. It's a great SUV, but it's time for something new for me.

Checkout my posting here:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...deos-pics.html

Mine is in mint condition, with low miles and lots of mods. I am asking $63K which seems fair.....MSRP was $93K on my car.
