2013 Cayenne

Purchased the new 2013 Cayenne today for my wife. She was driving a Range Rover Sport and wanted the Cayenne so we decided to test drive the car and ended up buying it (the porsche dealer offered me more money then carmax for my range). The car is still at the port waiting for delivery. It should happen any second. In the meantime, they offered me a 911 to drive around of couple days so decided to take the offer. The sales rep told me it should take 2-3 days so I decided to take his word. Has anyone else had experience purchasing a car that's still at port? If so, how long did it take to get delivered?

The 911 (997.1) rental seems pretty old. The interior is very out dated and power of the car is overrated. I drive a 2012 E550 and my car seemed a lot quicker and powerful. I was planning on purchasing a 997 for weekend car but this car is making me change my mind now.

Below is list of options and was told the car is fully loaded.

Try putting your loaner in sport mode. It should drive a lot different.

The loaner doesn't have sport mode option and it's also automatic. I'm sure I would enjoy it more if it had sport mode and manual.

I can't speak for the 997, bu I have a 2008 cayenne at the same time my wife had an ML350.

The Mercedes had a little more pep then the cayenne, until I hit the sport mode....
The SUV would then select either 1 or 2 lower gears than it would have otherwise. It makes driving a little more fun but a little jerky.

Does keyless entry and park assist come with your premium plus package? Your SUV looks pretty loaded top me.

An old 997.1 loaner with no sport and tiptronic is not a good example of any 2012 let alone a 991 Carrera S with PDK and sport mode. I have a 997.2 and it is plenty fast and handles well. I also have a GT3 and GT3 Cup and I can give you an informed opinion, the 997.2 and the 991 are not slouches. I would recommend a test drive with a more modern version. =)

No clue... I thought I had the Entry and Drive option but when I took a closer look at home, I wasn't able to find it on the list. We shall see when the car arrives.

Yeah, the 997.1 with no sport and tiptronic is no fun. I would love to test drive the 991 S with PDK. When I pick up my car, I will test drive it and get the real feel of a porsche.
