Installed Continental DWS tires! Fantastic!

I just swapped out the OEM Pirelli Zeros for a set of Continental Extreme DWS on my Techno 20s. Wow, what a difference. The ride is so much smoother compared to the Pirellis which were quite harsh. The Contis have an ever so slightly softer sidewall and I'm sure that contributes to the smoother ride. They are also much quieter. Compared to the Pirellis they also run a bit wider so they fill out the wheel more. Handling wise I can't tell much difference but the Contis are probably not as responsive as the Pirellis but I really could care less. To me the Cayenne is a comfy grocery getter. For handling and the track I have my Rturbo. Out the door price for all 4 Contis with road hazard was $1280 at Discount tire. They gave me a heck of a deal but I buy 4 set of tires per year from them.

DWS tires

I also recently purchased 4 DWS tires after doing a couple of months of research on an all season tire that will hopefully perform close to, or as good as a snow tire. Most excellent choice, last storm up around Jackson...15 inches, no problems at all getting around the ski areas

Still loving mine after about 4,000 miles.. but had to switch to my Pirelli snows so I could keep us from having any snow.

I'm actually on my second set of DWS on my Cayenne. I use them as my "summer" tires, and I switch to a proper winter tire for winter in the mountains. The DWS performs admirably in light snow. It's great for transitional months in fall and spring where we might get 4 - 6 inches of snow. It doesn't perform as well as my Michelin Latitude Alipns in the snow, but it's still quite good. One thing to keep in mind - re "S" wears away pretty quickly.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the smooth, quiet ride!

I've been running around Vail with these for the last few days or so and they are great in the snow. No issues whatsoever. I like the way the 275/315 combo works as it really seems to improve the traction in the back. Super happy all the way around!
