Hi,

Today, my 08 Cayenne reverse camera cover seemed to be stuck. It wont flip when on R as usual. I searched the web for this issue ( even this forum ) and found nothing about it except for a dead topic on another forum. I managed to get a photo from web that is similar to my case. When I am on R, the camera works and it transmits fine, but you can only see beneath the cover.

Has any one had this issue before ? Do I have to replace the whole Cam, even it works fine ? Or can I just replace the cover that won't flip ?

 

Is it maybe frozen or have mud or dirt keeping it from opening? I know mine sometimes doesn't open when it's very cold outside and iced up.

I'm not sure if that cover is motorized or if it has some other mechanism that slides it out of the way when the camera activates. If you can't find anything more check out renntech.org if you haven't already and ask around there. HTH
