Nope unfortunately the same. Have been debating between the current platinum edition vs waiting for 2015. There is no significant advantage to go with the platinum edition. Better off waiting for 2015.....just painful how long you have to wait.

Some might think not having to wait a year would be a significant advantage

The PCD is also a pretty good deal (for a Porsche) if you want all the things it comes bundled with. As I recall its a significant savings compare to specing a normal CD out the same.

The advantage is not as big as you might think on the Platinum edition. They increased the base price by 11k and give 14k worth of options in Canada. Not much of an incentive for an outgoing model.

Is there going to be some extensive changes for the 2015 Diesel? I can't imagine that there will be. So why not get it now? My dealer has 3 in stock... I've been tempted but I love my S so there's no immediate reason to jump right now. I have driven a couple that were provided during services and they're pretty nice.

They should get a power bump, but otherwise it won't be anything the rest of the 2015s don't get. In other words you shouldn't expect PDCC, PTV, or 4-zone.
