I recently bought an 06 Cayenne S w/ 105,000 miles, the dealer sent a camera in to an observation hole, found the coolant pipes had been replaced. 3 weeks after i buy it, i smell coolant, 2 weeks later i check level, it has lost a little bit, topped it off. now i finally see a small puddle under the front passenger ( RIGHT SIDE in USA), i put it on ramps, pulled the skid plat and eye witnessed coolant dripping off the upper suspension ("A" Arm, the only culprit is the coolant expansion tank. ( Which is where many people on this forum are saying they see a leak puddle under the drivers side front tire. ( They are probably European). regardless, i replaced the cap on the expansion tank ( Radiator cap) cheapest part, many different listings online, so hence it must be a part that wears out quickly. now the next day after a new cap and topped off coolant, it still leaks. My question to the forum members is how long, what procedure, ( or where to find a schematic of the procedure, to remove the expansion tank, a local shop says $500 parts and labor for a new tank.
