AC not working? update with durametric info

I have been out of town for three months and took the cayenne (06 tts w 4 zone climate control) out for a drive today and the ac is not getting cool (cabin fans and controls all seem normal). Checked system pressure, its good. checked s11 fuse also good.

no fault lights... i have a durametric setup but haven't used it yet and have too much going on right now to devote a lot of time to this. I need a/c lol. Any thoughts appreciated.

Car (06 CTTS) was dormant for 3 months when i went out of town for "2 weeks"...

upon return, i charged the battery but have no functioning a/c (4 zone)

I hooked up the durametric today and was given the following;

1592, air quality sensor

565, a/c regulator control module no signal/communication

I ran the self test. it was vague as to any results on the durametric, but all doors and fans appeared to function correctly. I cleared the codes, still no go.

ran through the service manual, running out of time i skipped a little and it basically is telling me that the rear control module may be faulty.

I need part numbers for both (i couldn't find either on pelican or sunset) and is the module a common issue/repairable? what about the a/q sensor?

its too hot to drive the pig without a/c

TIA!

The AC system has been broken for at least 7 weeks, and you haven't taken it to the this shop and left it to be diagnosed and/or repaired? I guess the alternative is put the windows down and drive.

yes, but i have alternative means of transportation. I normally only use the cayenne for long trips with more than one passenger. I haven't had time to mess with it, and haven't needed it. I have no intention of taking it to anyone...

i did put my tester on the battery today, after a full trickle cycle, it only shows 448 cca so will be getting a new one.

I need to perform the pinout tests in the service manual for the control unit after that.

I had a similar issue one time with my cayenne. We drove for like an hour hoping it would start to cool down. I was able to get it working again by playing around with the AC controls on both the passenger and driver side. Sorry, I don't remember the exact sequence or know exactly what did the trick. But somehow it started working and I have had zero issues. What I think happened is that somehow the driver and passenger side climate control got out of sync and I was able to eventually reset it - so more of a computer issue than anything else. YMMV. Good luck
