Think that may be motion detector defeat (press it when you leave someone or an animal in the car and don't want the alarm to go off from motion).

So when you press it and the red light comes on it means that it will not detect motion in the vehicle or the other way around?

I would assume that when the light is on, it is in Defeat Mode.

You can always test it. Press the button (light on), lock your door, unlock and see if the light goes off....as it defaults back to normal after the locking cycle is repeated.

See attached page out of manual.

thanks. I looked at every page in the manual and did not see this!, thanks for sending. This would explain when my significant other left me in the car and locked it, went into the store and the alarm went off lol

No problem. You can get the same result (defeat motion) by pressing the lock button (on key or ext door handle)twice.

I wish mine had that. I have to click about 45 times in the menu to shut it off. Then it comes back on next time I start the car.

I think on 955s (at least mine) if we press lock on the fob twice it disables the motion sensor, or does yours not do that?

Either that or pushing the button on the door handle twice is supposed to do the same thing. For some reason though mine seems to be finicky about it. I take my dogs with me quite a bit and if I don't get hitting the button just right it sets off the alarm quickly!

Someone else said you could set it in the menu and save it by saving a set setting but it doesn't seem to work for me. It always resets to on as default.
