06 CTT-S won't shift from park into drive

This sucks. I pulled my cayenne around in front of my garage and decided to pull a few fuses and check codes. My HID lights are not working. So I don't find anything. I put the fuses back into place and now the car will start up but it won't allow me to shift into drive.

Please help as my garage is blocked by my cayenne. So I have a bunch of cars that I can not get ot. Help.

I unplugged the battery and plugged it back in and that did not help.

What else can I check?

FWIW: When I turn the motor off, if I press the button on the shfter I can feel it tap in my ignition key. So it appears this may be anti theft related.

Well, this site pretty much sucks. Can't get much help here.

I've learned that I can disconnect the block and deal with this issue at a later time.

There are plenty of topics on this here. Lots of info. Just need to take extra 20 minutes and search.
fir example I have dying on how to fix if your cable disconnects from transmission (one possible cause).
Or others have diy for replacing the solenoids under shifter (another cause).
Maybe folks don't help because the description is vague. That is definitely a possibipossibility to see news come to a place, post a question and expect someone to fix it for them.

No, this place doesn't suck. Lots of info here. I bet it's the lack of effort that is the problem here.
