The best Porsche mechanic I know and trust is in Naperville, Becker Automotive. Its a haul from Chicago, but this guy is good! Jim Becker is the owner

I would HIGHLY recommend Pinyo at Factory5 Motorsports. His direct cell# is 773-818-7970, and the shop# is 847-895-9520.
Factory5 Motorsports
1034 Morse Ave.
Schamburg, IL 60193

I didn't wanna reply to this post until I had tried him myself, but after getting my spark plugs changed there and having my headers ported, I am confident Pinyo will do a great job on anyone's 996TT. Great guy to deal, and absolutely superb customer service. And to top it off, he doesn't markup his shop rate simply because it's a Porsche. I paid the same labor rate someone with a WRX STi pays at his shop. Let him know Awais recommended you, and I am sure he will hook you up to the max! My car will be going back to Pinyo for tires, wheel/balance, coil-over suspension and more in the near future.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

I second CPT - they've worked on almost a half dozen of my cars - simply as good as it gets.

are there any SW suburbs shops that do on-site GIAC flashing? i know Sol @ perfect power does (great guy), but it would be really nice to have someone in SW suburbs as well (close to naperville).. I called Jim @ becker auto and he said they dont have the equip to do it. Bummed me out since they're just 10 min from my place!
