Well guys, after reading the threads about the meets, it looks to me like there are quite a few people who would rather drive their cars then sit around in a parking lot. That being said, I propose we start a breakFAST meet! "What is breakFAST" you say? We will meet once a month (more if people want to do that) for breakfast and go on a drive afterwords. We can change the location of the breakfast as well as the location of the drive every month so that one person isnt always stuck driving far to make it. What do you guys think?

 

Perhaps after the 1st and 2nd Saturday meets?

1st Sat: Drive after Boulder C&C

2nd Sat: Drive after The Great Indoors C&C

but you guys won't be able to keep up....LOL

problem is you kind of have to keep the drives smaller (<20)...but I prefer to drive the twisties...FWIW

 

Its not the size of the turbo in the fight, its the size of the fight in the turbo I take that as a challenge! I totally agree with you on the size thing though. Thats why I want to meet at a place for a real breakfast and then a drive. I think that will keep the number of people down. If we have to, we could do run groups based on insanity of the drives. All the crazies can go ahead and get those cops out of their hiding spots

Any chance of doing this at an early hour, to avoid congested roads? I'd totally be up for something like that, assuming you all don't mind a "newb" coming along.

Lefthand Canyon up to Ward is a great road in the morning.

Im a noob as well though. But yeah the plan to meet up early for breakfast and then go for a cruise.

Yes, we did a similar run to this last year...way fun...up to peak-to-peak and back down by rocky flats...the only problem we ran into was nasty bicyclists

I would be interested. With kids I'm always up insanely early anyway!

 

For the above reasons, I would be down for a "drive eat drive" or "drive eat". That way less traffic of all kinds and if somebody has to split at least they get more drive.

 

Well its 60 today and that reminds me thats its not going to be stupid hot forever. You guys want to set up a day to do this? I need to beat on my RE01Rs before I put my snow tires back on.

Yeah I was on my way back from Longmont and saw it yesterday...I had no idea it was controlled though.

PS. You want to get your car hooked up to our rig one day soon? I have a shot in mind I want to get that requires a drop top.
