This a great group of guys and guaranteed fun! It would be nice to get some more exotics involved. If more cars join we may split into multiple groups. PM or post if interested.

9:30 am, Loaf -n- Jug, 102 N Rubey Dr, Golden, here:

Great! Hopefully your car will be ready, and it would be great to meet you. Hopefully more exotics will join. There is a good list of cars already joining. The list is mostly imports, but not the typical "import" scene. Just a good group of guys and gals that like to drive on the twisties

So far the list includes:
Maserati Gt
997 GT2
996TT
F430 Spider
3 Elise's
5 NSX's
3 Corvettes and Z06
1 Evo- I wonder if it's Gumba???
and 14 S2000's

I'd like to do this drive, but I will have to split early for a lunch appointment.

What part of town do you live in? I think I might meet a few friends at the Starbucks in the Belleview Promenade at 8:45 then drive to Golden.

Are lowly VW's and Audi's welcome? I live in Morrison and would like to join you.

Thanks,
Randy

Are lesser cars able to join. I know a 2000 S4 is pretty far from exotic, but I'm pretty sure I can keep up!

The drive ends right at my office. (the very edge of the map on the left) I look over the entrance to Deer Creek Canyon and love seeing the various cars that head that way for a drive.

Hey Chuck, I did not know you were here.

I will vouch for your car! It is not the best looking one out there (yet), but it can keep up in the speed department.

Hope to see you this weekend.

I'm a lurker, but this sounded like fun. If we're allowed to attend I'll let you take a leg or two in my car. I think you'll be surprised at how much it's changed!

Definetly join us! This is not a exotic "run". The majority of the cars are S2000's, others to join will be 4 NSX's, 3 Porsche's, 2 Ferrari's, and maybe a Maserati GT. As of now I think there are 33 cars, I think they will set them off in groups. The last drive they hosted had about 15-18 cars, had a great time.

Here are some pics from the last drive through the Poudre Canyon:

Here's the written directions from the Loaf n Jug to the end point for everyone to copy:

North on 93 to hwy 72. Left on 72, west to hwy 119 (Peak to Peak hwy). Left turn on 119. South to Black Hawk. Right turn at main light in Black Hawk (street sign says: Blackhawk St.) to Central City. Left at main light in Central City (Spring St.) to Central City Pkwy & I-70. Right turn onto I-70, west. 3 miles west, through tunnel, to exit 240, right exit ramp to left turn on Rd 103 (Squaw Pass Rd) for a re-group at first parking lot on right, south side of I-70. 103 (Squaw Pass Rd) south, break for photo opp at Echo Lake on right shoulder, then continue, turning east, over Squaw Pass, ending at 74 (Evergreen Pkwy). Right turn onto 74, south to Evergreen Lake. Right turn after Evergreen Lake onto 73, south to Conifer. In Conifer, go straight through light at Pleasant Prk Rd, proceed forward to shopping center and break for lunch. Leave shopping center and take a right turn on Pleasant Prk Rd, under overpass (hwy 285), proceed east. Pleasant Prk Rd turns into Highgrade Rd, which turns into S. Deer Creek Rd. Right turn onto W. Deer Creek Canyon Rd, head further east. Straight onto S. Owen St. which turns right onto W. Ute Ave. End on right side of road before you get to the next main intersection.

If you have two-way hand helds, bring them. Set to Channel 7-5.

I might have to beg a ride in one of the NSX's someday. I've always admired them and while they are spectacular stock I would love to build one up. I modify everything it's just the way I am, so why fight it. ;-)

I'll work on getting the wife's blessing now. How long to you expect the run to take?

No problem. They said the full run would take 4+ hours and 116 miles. I think I will skip the last leg to conifer and go from Evergreen to Morrison.
