I have spoke with Lee at Pristine about a couple projects, and know several people who have had wheels & more done.

Applied Plastics did my trim and is $200 for a set of wheels. I plan to have mine done there after the winter.

So what I have learned.

Spec wheels - NO

Truedesign wheels - excellent - very knowledgeable

CW Elaborations - excellent - very knowledgeable

I went with Truedesign because they did their own blasting in house and most send wheels out to get that done. I like one guy doing all the work. He removed dents and scratches from the wheels and painted the porsche cap centers without overspray on the colored porsche emblem. excellent.

Price was just over 130 per wheel, but then again if you want it done right that's what it takes. $200 for the entire set, I am sure doesn't include blasting off the prior coating or fixing anything.

Dennis,

Your wheels look fantastic. Can you tell me again about the color detail (% gloss)? How long did the work take?

Thanks,

Walter

Mine are satin and they contain 40% gloss. Anywhere from 30 to 70% gloss is satin. The more gloss in the coating the shinier they are. I think the best ratios are 30,40 and 50% gloss. After that they are too shiny. 90 to 100% is considered gloss. and 10% or less is matte/flat according to what the pros were telling me.
