Not to shoot down your hopes, but Porsche is once again absent from this event. I spoke with the Auto Delears Association chairman and he did not elucidate as to why. He did, however, mention that Aston Martin did not appear at the Detroit Auto Show but DID make it to Denver's.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.. first year I've been where Ferrari was not blocked off. They let you sit in the 599!

 

That red Boss 302 with its white stripes reminds me of the Starsky and Hutch Torino.

 

Doors were locked on Saturday, makes sense, there were tons of people. I was extremely disappointed, you pretty much took pics of all the cars that were interesting that day. It was much bigger a couple of years ago.

 

Sorry to hear that, Ynot! Was there one thing glaringly missing or something else that sticks out in your mind that disappointed you? I've gone for 10 years now and admit each year the dynamic of the show changes a bit, but thought this year was pretty good.

I've been bummed the last few years because one manufacturer or another didn't show -- Porsche being the winner again this year. Long gone are the days they came and gave away FREE POSTERS (2002 & 2003) - I still have them up in my garage!

But in 2004, imagine this: Ferrari wasn't even there! The ONLY exotic car on site was ONE roped-off Lambo Gallardo! That versus 2006 when Bugatti had it's Veyron on display, as well as Saleen with the S7.

Nevertheless, at $10 (if you amazingly couldn't find a coupon) it has got to be the best value for a professionally organized car show out there.

2006? Has it been that long I just remember the last time I went, there were more cars, much more to see, this time around, there isn't much. I expect a lot more newer models, concepts, etc. I guess the internet killed it for me. Seeing pics of Geneva, Detroit, LA, makes our auto show seems boring. And I recently went to California's car and coffee so every auto show at this point seems kinda boring. And that didn't cost me $10 . I guess my taste in cars are either exotics or modded cars.
