Is your front lip minorly mangled?

Not sure if this really belongs in the detailing section, but whatever...

My front lip has seen better days. I scrape it fairly often. Rather than buy a new one, I decided to try my Dremel on it. Five minutes of work and it looks much better. The front edge no longer shows any ridges or abnormalities. I smoothed it out with the Dremel. The trick is to come at it from the bottom and the front edge. Don't come at it from the top surface or you'll damage the surface texture.

Forgive me if this has been suggested before.

I've never seen anyone suggest this method nor have thought of it myself, but it seems like it would be an easy fix to scuffs. Nice work! You should post this in the turbo and gt3/2 sections so more can see your idea.

Some fine sand paper also works well. It's pointless though.

I'm crazy ****. I agree that it's foolish to think the lip won't take more battle damage. But I don't mind performing the occasional surgery with my Dremel. A few minutes every few months and it'll look much much better.

I think that's the point....a few minutes can take away some battle scars for a while. Good tip. Eventually you buy yourself a new lip which isn't too expensive and you can install it yourself.

Another fix for the lip is to just run sandpaper up and down the edge until it is smooth, usuing a fairly fine grit. Then take Wurth Satin Black Trim Paint and paint the spoiler and put it back on. The paint will not chip or flake, it will look as it came from the factory.
