Dedication

Just to show it does not always rain here. Some times it freezes.

27* degree day, Monthly washes on 3 cars. Finished two. Landcruiser and Highlander. Will be finishing the m6 on friday.

The silly car was freezing over as fast as i could wipe.

Cell phone pics, my apologies.

Therma-steam on low steam

on high.

Attached is a 2" round brush wrapped in a microfiber. At full steam it will hold 300* at 100psi for over 40 min. Kevin Farrel at clean car told me it would do 30 min. I had to put it to the test. During this time of the year i have found that all of my exterior plastics, tires, wheels are just not coming clean. I need to clean things 2-3 times. Not any more with this. Apply my cleaner, agitate with steamer with MF attached and poof, it is clean. Wheels are a snap now.

Even to my strict interior standards the steamer has reduced my interior cleaning time by about 2 hours. Considering i usually put 8 or more into interior detailing i am quite happy. Normally i would clean in passes, using several types of cleaning procedures to get a vehicle clean. While i still do this, the initial phases of my interior cleaning process has become much more effective.

All,
I have to tell you that Grouse (AAron) is a true professional. He spent last entire Saturday with me just to teach me on the products I ordered from Phil @ Detailer's Domain (who's another exceptional guy). His patience and enthusiasm is incredible and Aaron is very generous to share with me his knowledge and gave me a chance and honor to detail his Tahoe. Thank you, Aaron for everything!

Aaron, is that house located inside Talus? How do I know? Because I was talking to my friend about you when he was on his way home and all of a sudden, he asked me 'does he have a truck that says 3lg or something??? I JUST SAW HIM AT THE LIGHT ON THE BOTTOM OF TALUS!'...LOL... I guess it's hard to miss your awesome trailer...!

Keep up the great work, Aaron and thank you once again for your time and everything (including the free bottles). You've got a beautiful family, too. Gotta love your adorable kids!

John

Grouse,

Forgot to add...could you compare this unit vs other extractors (steam/no-steam) vs the one you use?

Thanks.

John,

I have a separate hot water extractor for fiber and fabrics. The steamer i have i use specifically for cleaning hard surfaces. I have only tested a few other vapor steamers. basically i chose this one because it can keep the steam at 300* and at 100psi for over 40 min. For exterior wheels, wheel wells, trim, plastics, doors, door jams this is needed.

Let me know if you have questions about your products or process on the other two cars. I am waiting to give you a hand on your p-car.

Aaron,

Thanks! Looks like this weekend will snow but I can't wait to get my hands on clay/polish the accord and TL! I washed the cayenne on Sunday and it took me 1.5 hours...because I had to stop and re-think what you taught me...the process and everything.

Thank you once again!

John

How effective is a damp steamer. I've got a Karcher steamer which I haven't been thinking of to clean the car. Maybe I should give it a go....

Very interested in tips to get best result.

This is the link to my steamer. What do you think?

http://www.karcher.de/en-GB/Products...r/14391010.htm

When using the steamer on exterior, do you rinse the car first to remove most of the dirt?

I generally only vapor steam the hard exterior plastic trim, sunroof, soft top convertables, tires, wheels, wheel wells, and front grill area.
