There are many different polishes used for many different applications. It all depends on the paint and the level of correction needed. For the most part, I use Menzerna's line of polishes and compound for everything and finish with zymol hd-cleanse as a hand polish prior to waxing.

Depends on who you ask, the trouble with many polishes is that many if used incorrectly have a tendency of delivering a false appearing finish.

Need more context, what kind of paint, what color, what condition. There are many, many types of polish for certain cut & finish.

Menzerna, 1Z & 3M are the top ones for cut & finish.

A good wash and clay followed by

Einszett Paint Polish followed by Einszett Glanz Wax (by hand) should get you some great results.

Do you have alot of imperfections in the paint? I had alot of swirls so I used Menzerna Intensive Polish, next Final Polish 2, then glaze, and lastly FMJ. It turned out great.

As mentioned, there's plenty of great polishes.

Some of my favorites are Menz IP, FPII and I'm about to buy some Meg's M105, I hear tons of great things about it. It will be replacing my Menz PG.

Those are good for the rotary with a cutting or polishing pad.

For the PC or another orbital, I would try some Menz IP as well and Zaino Fusion is good mild polish, both of those with cutting pads.

Josh
