Need Help FAST!

Was driving behind a truck in traffic. Paint can fell out and spilled paint on the road which I tried to avoid but no luck. so now I have what I think is Latex paint all over my wheel wells and back bumper. Any products or methods out there that can take care of this? Claybar?

3M makes an adhesive and wax remover that may take it off and is safe on your paint. Sorry for this - wow, that must have made you sick. Sherman Williams and Westco AutoBody carry the 3M and is only about $12. Good luck.

PS: You will have to repolish and wax after you use this product.

you'll probably have to use lacquer thinner. It's obviously a very strong product, so be carefull, and you'll have to repolish and wax afterwards. Claybar the paint too. If you have your car matrix coated, paint will not stick to it.

took it into Westcoast Specialties (ferrari and porsche bodyshop) right after the "event" not taking any chances here. They are going to remove the wheels and get into every nook and cranny where the paint splattered. They said they've seen worse even concrete removal from wheel wells and fenders.... ouch!

Glad to hear, hopefully they'll get it off with no problems.

.....otherwise I was going to suggest 3M adhesive remover and if that doesn't do the trick, denatured alcholol.

3M adhesive remover and denatured alcohol are both alcohol based products, he needs a petroleum based solvent to remove paint.

You already seem to have it under control. But in the future, a plastic spatula would help remove the latex paint from the wheel well and clay would remove the latex paint from the body.

Tell that to all the paint I've rubbed off over the years with 3M adhesive remover cause they don't believe you...

I detailed a paint chemists car one time and his wife had bumped the garage post and got latex on the front bumper and he grabbed some denatured alcohol and wiped it right off like it was nothing. No it was not fresh, at least a month old, he thought it was scratches until I showed him it was paint transfer. I think a Paint Chemist probably knows about paint.

He told me that denatured alcohol is the chemical opposite for latex and will basically melt or evaporate it. He was right.

You should try it. I've used 3M adhesive remover on a number of cars to remove paint transfer and it's quick, easy and clear coat safe. It's a great way to earn $20-$50+ in literally a minute.

update. It took the body shop 9 hours of work removing all the paint splatter from the wheel wells, cats, mufflers ...ummm everywhere. But they got all off and even did a nice detail and wax. Anyways happy with the results to say this least....I have my car back and it feels good.
