Suggestions on polishes please

Looking to detail a couple family cars and was looking for some advice on which polishes to use. The cars are 09 Audi A4, 08 Ford F350, and a 65 vette that has been repainted so im not sure how hard the paint is etc(Not sure if i want to try to tackle this car as i do not know how thick or tough the clear coat is). Also I am using a PC, orange and white pads.

I think i have menzerna SIP and Nano laying around still and like the Menzerna products so wouldnt mind continuing the use of them. Also I will most likely seal with REJEX.

Sounds like you already have some great polishes at your disposal. My typical two step combinations that I turn to are either:

Super Intensive Polish on an orange pad followed by Super Finish (106FA) on a white pad for deeper imperfections

Power Finish (PO203S) on a green pad followed by Nano Polish (PO85RD) using a black pad for lighter imperfections

If neither of those two combinations fit the bill, then I'll usually add in a more aggressive polish, like Optimum Hyper Compound with an orange pad or Menzerna Power Gloss.

As always, you want to start with the least aggressive combination that gives you the results your looking for and work your way up as needed. Ideally, you never want to remove more clear coat than is necessary. Take a look over our polishing guide to ensure you are getting the most out of your PC and current combination before you take the plunge on some new products.

Hope this helps,

George

What color are your cars?

On my black 911, I really like SIP on orange, followed by PO85RD on either blue or white. I use a flex.

You already have a great lineup of products...the only thing I'd change is investing in a flex polisher. You'll be very impressed and it'll cut your time in half compared with a PC and you'll get results that are significantly better than a PC.

Flex would probably be a wise investment i would consider it. Neither of the cars should have to bad of imperfections they both have less then 5K miles.

Audi is deep sea blue?
F350 is Black
Vette is red

If tackling the vette should i invest in a paint meter since I have no idea how thick the clear is?

If you're using a flex or a pc, you're not taking off too much clear or running the chance of burning the paint. I'd forgo the paint meter and get a better polisher.

I would have to agree with everyone you have probably the best polishes already.

if you need more cut because you are using a PC get the Power Gloss Compound.

post pics of your results would love to see how it turns out.

Yes...it all depends on what you're starting out with. Pictures would help.
